Trumpkin was a Red Dwarf. He lived during the reign of Miraz andCaspian X. He played a key role in the Narnian Revolution.

Trumpkin was an Old Narnian, he lived with Trufflehunter the badger and Nikabrik the Black Dwarf. He and his companions are the Narnians who rescued Prince Caspian when he was on the run from his uncle Miraz. Although Nikabrik desired to kill Caspian, Trumpkin sided with Trufflehunter and defended the boy.

When the conflict with the Telmarines turned to open warfare Trumkin volunteered to travel to the ruins of Cair Paravel when Caspian blew on the horn of Queen Susan. Athough he was captured enroute, he still managed to complete his mission since the Telmarines tried to drown him in the waters surrounding the ruins.
