- "Here stand I, Tirian of Narnia, in Aslan's name, to prove with my body that Tash is a foul fiend, the Ape a manifold traitor, and these Calormenes worthy of death. To my side, all true Narnians. Would you wait till your new masters have killed you all one by one?"
c. 2530 - 2555
Tirian was responsible for destroying the rebellion that resided in the west of Ettinsmoor (shortly after they had invaded Narnia with his father's death). As a result, he made the west side of the northern nation a part of the Empire. He, along with his best friends Jewel, Roonwit and Farsight, fought in a number of anomalous wars, in his early twenties during the Calormene Conquest of Narnia. Absent during the Cair Paravel Massacre, he could not act as the head of the Narnian Army. He was tied to a tree, and left there, so he decided to ask the former Kings and Queens of Narnia for help. He has visions of them, sitting around a table, laughing and talking. They eventually see him, but he is unable to communicate with them, because they cannot hear him. He awakes again ten minutes later to find Eustace Scrubb and Jill Pole. The two were sent by Aslan to help him defend Narnia in the last days.
Tirian, Jill and Eustace rescued Jewel the unicorn, and Puzzle the donkey from a dungeon. After doing so, Tirian tried to slay Puzzle because he had acted as Aslan at Shift's order. Jill stopped him, saying it was not his fault.
Riding to Stable Hill, they saw many Narnians waiting before a stable. Confronting Shift the ape, they were forced to fight against a force of Calormene Soldiers. While Jewel was killed, and Eustace and Jill were brought to the stable, Tirian successfully announced a duel with Rishda Tarkaan, in order to kill him there.
As both entered the stable, unintendedly for them both, into Aslan's Country, Tash appeared and took Rishda Tarkaan into his country for punishment. Tirian was left alone, and found himself in a land more beautiful than Narnia. He met there Peter, Edmund and Lucy Pevensie, Digory Kirke, Polly Plummer and the deceased Eustace and Jill. It was Narnia, the real Narnia, as Aslan explained that the other Narnia was merely a shadow, or a reflection of the actual Narnia.
