Behind the scenes[]

  • The lead singer of the music group Evanescence, Amy Lee, claimed that she had been approached to write music for the film,[1] both of which were rejected.[2] However, the producers of the film stated that they had never approached Lee about penning music for the film, and that it was "news to them". No Evanescence music had ever been planned for the score of the film,[3] although The New York Times reported in October 2005 that a Disney producer was waiting for a Evanescence song to be used as the film's closing song.[4] The song she originally wrote for the film is "Together Again",[5] released in 2010 as a charity single to help raise funds for the 2010 Haiti earthquake.[6] "Lacrymosa" was written for the film's opening scene in mind.[7]
  • The song Never Far Behind by Aly & AJ was written for the movie though was not included in it. They released the song instead on the deluxe edition of their debut album Into the Rush.
