Ramandu was a retired star and the father of Caspian X's wife. He lived on his own island with his daughter, where each morning he ate a fire-berry which would make him lose some of his age, once he was, again, an infant he could regain his status as a star. During King Caspian X's voyage on the ship the Dawn Treader, this was the last island they visited before heading for the end of the world. Upon Caspian's return he married Ramandu's daughter.
