Ipotanes

From WikiNarnia, the Narnian Encyclopedia

Ipotanes are half-human, half-horse, and these creatures are similar to centaurs. But they have two legs of a horse, and a tail. They are very intelligent and peaceful creatures in Narnia. They enjoy dancing and listening to music with the fauns and satyrs. Ipotanes were the first to become loyal in the end after King Frank I and Queen Helen become the first King and Queen of Narnia, The Magician's Nephew. During in The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe, many Ipotanes were seen as stone prisoners in the White Witch's courtyard and many were seen in Aslan's Camp, just as the Pevensies and the Beavers arrive to meet Aslan. Ipotanes took place in the First Battle of Beruna, where they fight the White Witch's army. Ipotanes were later taken place at the coronation at Cair Paravel, as the Pevensies become the High Kings and Queens of Narnia. Ipotanes along with the Narnians aid the Archenlanders where they fight together, to stop Prince Rabadash and the Calormenes from invading Narnia and Archenland in The Horse and His Boy. In Prince Caspian, many Ipotanes were seen in the Dancing Lawn where they become loyal to Caspian X since he promised that he will give back the Narnian's freedom. Ipotanes were later seen Second Battle of Beruna where they fight Miraz and his Telmarine army. In The Last Battle, Ipotanes later fought with the Narnians against the Calormenes in the Battle of Stable Hill.
