Movie-based Information

The following information originates from the Chronicles of Narnia movies, as opposed to C. S. Lewis' chronicles.

Gorillas are one of the largest primates or apes that are ground-dwelling herbivorous in the world of Narnia. They are very intelligent and strong, and are loyal beasts to Aslan. Their fur color is usually dark brown or black.

Gorillas move around by knuckle-walking, although they sometimes walk bipedally for short distances while carrying food, or in defensive situations if they have to fight an enemy, though Gorillas can run faster with their arms and legs.

It's unknown where these apes live in the land of Narnia, but it's possible that they inhabit the forests, as Gorillas tend to swing from trees, and they enjoy to eat bananas and other kinds of fruit.

  • One gorilla was also seen standing alongside a dog behind Edmund just after Jadis had arrived and said that Edmund's blood belonged to her because he was a traitor, due to the law of The Deep Magic.
