In Narnia, there are other sorts of creatures who are refered to as gods, such as the wild people of Narnia (centaurs, nymphs, satyrs, fauns, etc.). The male wood nymphs and water nymphs are addressed as wood gods and river gods respectively. Aslan summons the River God and when he arrives Aslan gives a little bow of the head to show his respect and the River God gives it back with another little bow of the head.
