| Movie-based Information|
Cyclopes are a race of one-eyed creatures that appeared in The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe. Their heights range to at least ten feet tall.
After the Long Winter ended, all the Cyclopes in the land of Narnia traveled to the Stone Table, to gather as soldiers in the White Witch's Army. They were first seen in the White Witch's camp, where they were preparing for battle, with the Ogres, Hags, Boggles, Dwarves, Minotaurs, Minoboars, Ghouls, and Ankle Slicers.
Not all Cyclopes appear to be evil. In Prince Caspian, one is seen working in Caspian X's forge.
Behind the Scenes
- Cyclopes are common monsters from Greek mythology. Probably the most famous among them is Polyphemus, who was blinded by Odysseus in Homer's The Odyssey. As in Narnia, mythological Cyclopes are not all bad. Cyclopes worked in the forges of the gods, where they forged many weapons, including Zeus's master bolt and Poseidon's trident.
