Corin

From WikiNarnia, the Narnian Encyclopedia

Corin, known as Thunder-Fist, was a Prince of Archenland and son of King Lune. The twin brother of Cor, Corin was younger by twenty minutes. Because of a prophecy that said Cor would save Archenland from a terrible threat, a Calormene agent kidnapped Cor. As the only child left of King Lune, Corin became the heir to the Archenland throne.

As a boy, Corin later met his brother (known as Shasta at the time) while joining Queen Susan and King Edmund of Narnia on a diplomatic mission to Tashbaan. Because of their resemblance, Shasta was temporarily mistaken for Corin by the Narnians while Corin was out in the city having adventures. When he returned, he helped Shasta escape the city without the impersonation becoming known. He encountered Shasta again at Anvard, as King Edmund and Queen Lucy led an army to aid King Lune in the battle against the Calormenes. It was after the battle ended that Shasta was revealed to be Corin's twin brother Cor.

Due to Cor's return to Archenland, Corin lost any claim to the throne, much to his delight. "It's princes have all the fun". Corin had a lifelong enjoyment of fighting, and in later life became a famous boxer, earning the nickname 'Thunder-Fist' by defeating the Lapsed Bear of Stormness barehanded.
