Cholmondeley Major was a student at Experiment House in the autumn of 1942. He was also a member of 'The Gang' that tormented other students, including Jill Pole.
Like the rest of the Gang, he spent much of his time at school bullying other students, and occasionally talking to the Head of the school (but not getting punished), until the time when Eustace Scrubb, Jill, Aslan and Caspian X came to the school and frightened The Head and all the other bullies.
In the inquiry following that incident, about ten students were expelled; Cholmondeley may have been one of them.
