Breehy-hinny-brinny-hoohy-hah (better known as Bree) was a Narnian talking horse. He was well known for his and Shasta's escape from Calormen.

When he was just a foal, Bree was taken out of Narnia when he strayed to far into the southern slopes. He was enslaved to Anradin, a Calormene Tarkaan. As a slave, Bree pretended to be a "normal" horse, by keeping quiet and not revealing his identity as a talking horse of Narnia. Anradin rode Bree out to war many times, and Bree was treated well because of it. However, Bree knew he was in reality a Narnian, and he always was thinking of ways to escape. His chance came when Anradin rode him to the Cottage of Arsheesh. While Anradin talked with Arsheesh about the possible sale of Shasta, a boy who lived with Arsheesh, Bree talked the boy into riding north with him to Narnia, which they did that night. One night as they were traveling, a lion roared and frightened Bree. The two run from the lion, and meet Aravis, a high-born Tarkheena who was running away from a forced marriage, with her talking horse Hwin. They then decided to travel together.
However, in the capital city Tashbaan, Shasta was mistaken temporarily for young Prince Corin of Archenland, who was visiting Calormen under the care of a Narnian delegation headed by Queen Susan and King Edmund. In pure fear and shock Shasta couldn`t tell them who he really was. But he manages to escape. Meanwhile, Aravis has snuck into the Tisroc's palace to get help from her friend Lasaraleen. The two accidentally stumble on a secret conversation between Prince Rabadash and his father the Tisroc. Furious that Queen Susan had escaped him (the whole Narnian contingent had escaped earlier), Rabadash receives permission to invade Archenland, so that he can conquer Narnia and capture Susan. The two girls almost get caught by Aravis's prospective husband, Ahoshta, who is Grand Vizier. Aravis takes Bree out of the palace stable along with Hwin and heads to the Tombs of the Ancient Kings. Shasta is there.
Bree and his friends decide to ride to Anvard in Archenland to warn King Lune about the invasion. they have a harrowing three day journey across the desert just ahead of Rabadash's invasion force. When they were just about to give up, a lion attacks them, forcing them on. They meet the Hermit of the Southern March who urges Shasta on alone, leaving Bree behind. While Shasta is meeting up with King Lune and fighting at Anvard, Bree is peacefully staying with the Hermit. Aslan arrives and teaches a lesson to Bree about being too proud of himself, reminding him that he would be "nobody very special in Narnia". After the battle, Shasta visits Bree and Hwin and Aravis, telling them that he is to become king. Bree later gets married, and lived to a ripe old age.

Bree is portrayed as rather vain, and the less sensible of the two Talking Horses. He hates having his tail cut short because it ruins his warrior look, and he frequently brags about his many battles in Calormene. Bree is at first critical of Shasta and Shasta's riding, while he has no problem chatting with the aristocratic Aravis. For all his posh, Bree can be very insecure. He is really worried that Narnian Horses would not like him if they saw him rolling in the grass. For the most part, Bree is very brave. The only things he fears (that we know of) are lions. Bree is also extremely patriotic, constantly exclaiming his excitement about reaching "Narnia and the North!"
