Archery is the art, practice or skill of shooting arrows with the use of a bow, from Latin arcus, or with the use of crossbows. Historically, archery has been used for hunting and combat on various worlds, especially Narnia.
A person who participates in archery is typically known as an "archer" or "bowman", and one who is fond of or an expert at archery can be referred to as a "toxophilite".
The most notable Archer ever mentioned in Narnia was that of Queen Susan the Gentle, who had been given a bow and arrows by Father Christmas, who most likely gave it to her on the order of Aslan himself. With the weapon, she was said to never miss a hit.
It is unknown whether Susan continued archery after she returned home to Earth, as the Pevensies found that they had difficulty using the skills they had learned in Narnia on Earth.
