Popplewell, eldest of three children, is the daughter of Andrew Popplewell and Dr. Debra Lomas. She has two younger siblings, Lulu Popplewell, who is also an actress and starred in Love Actually alongside Popplewell's Narnia co-star Liam Neeson, and Freddie Popplewell who starred as Michael Darling in the movie Peter Pan. She attended North London Collegiate School and was Head Girl 2006-2007.
Since 2007, Popplewell has been a student of English at Magdalen Collage, Oxford. Popplewell currently resides in Highbury, North London.
Career

Popplewell began acting at the age of six. Her acting career includes: - Frenchman's Creek, Mansfield Park, The Little Vampire and The Girl with a Pearl Earring.
Her first major role was in the film The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe.
She has a phobia of mice, which required a double to do part of her scene at the Stone Table in the film. She reprised her role in the sequel, Prince Caspian. The movie opened in theatres 16 May 2008.
Since then, university life has kept her busy and she hasn't made another movie in nearly two years. She did however, appear in The Voyage of the Dawn Treader, which was released in December 2010, but in a minor cameo role.
She was confirmed as Sophie in the 2011 film Hanna, but she was replaced with Jessica Barden.
Popplewell is due to appear in the upcoming 2012 films Passengers and Payback Season as a nurse and 'Izzy' respectively.
